I am writing this with reference to the article published in Hindustan Times, dated 7th September2021,
captioned as: How bottom -up Hindutva challenges Left’s hegemony
Mr. Vijay Chauthaiwale
You have done incisive analysis on the opponents of Hindutva.
We at TPV think Hindutva term whenever started in the history is causing divisons in Indian society.
For common good we need to unify our country.
It will be better for the future generations to drop the use of all such terms, only work on making India – one?
We, at TPV, strongly believe that unity and cohesiveness are key to development and growth. We hope that you will strongly agree with the same. We are already facing many issues which threaten the cohesive nature of Indian society. Things are not very stable globally as well. Our neighbour, Afghanistan, is going through turbulent times. We should talk about well being of people as citizens of the country without dividing them into religion/caste/regional lines. As a responsible public figure, you should avoid talking about specific “isms” or “utvas”. Your article about a specific religion may not be in the interest of the nation since it may incite feelings along religious lines. We are already facing many issues which are causing disharmony. India can’t afford more issues on these lines. It may be interpreted that your outburst is aimed towards polarizing the votes of a specific community in your party favour. It may encourage(in fact many others are also doing this and we have been writing to them also) others to follow the same line and the overall scenario of state can become very vicious. We should encourage positive, constructive and holistic discussion encompassing people from all religions and castes.
The People’s Voice society has been propagating at various fora’s asking authorities to widen and deepen the incentives offered under “Protection Of Civil Rights Act 1955”. Presently, only inter-caste marriages are getting incentivised under the abovesaid Act.
It must include all castes, Religions and Regions for economic progress and peace. For peace, there should be oneness and cohesiveness amongst citizens.
